Wii time

So those who know me know that I don't allow unlimited video games and TV for the kids. I also thought that a 2 year old shouldn't be playing until I saw how much energy they could get out of their systems.....lol Here is Zachie boxing with his brother on the Wii. The games that the kids could play on the Wii is so interacting that it's actually getting them up and going instead of the video games that they just sit there with. I will definitely let them play more of this plus its a lot of fun to watch them especially a 2 yr old....LOL

(You've never known we had this game system for the last year and half....)

Here's Another

Here is Zachie showing off his new pj pants that I just finished with. Two more pants left to make. Then I will be on to a new project.

My First Pj Pants

Here is the out come of my first fleece pj pants. They are super easy and fun to make so I will definitely be making some more. I have a football print that I am going to make for both boys to match. Trinity's will match Sierra's pink monkey pair below.

Tristian's Big Ski Weekend

So this weekend is Tristian's weekend away from the family. He is going up to Schweitzer Mountain (North of Sandpoint) with a good friend of his from football and Colton's dad. They have a condo up there so it will just be the three of them up on the mountain. I am excited for him but yet at the same time nervous as all get out. This is his first attempt at skiing, however the two boys have been snow boarding in Colton's yard. Tristian is oh sooo excited about going. He is leaving Friday and will be back Sunday. I'm sure he'll love it and have a blast. If he gets pictures while there I will give you an update and post some on here.

Please Lord watch over them and bring them all home safely. Amen.

Remembering Today...

Although I don't like or care for Barack Obama, and no it's not because of the color of his skin, like a friend of mine said "He's just as much white as he is black". He's the new Commander In Chief and I wanted to share that with our kids. So the girls stayed home today to watch it all and a matter of fact it's still on. Most of you may know that we didn't vote for Obama and we have our own opinions about him, it doesn't give me the right to keep it from our kids. I loved having them home today to watch it with. Now we'll see how this country does in the next 4 years. Good Luck and God Bless!!!

A drive down south

Yesterday was Dave's day off so we decided to take alittle road trip down south on Hwy 95. It was only the four of us (Me, Dave, Tristian and Zachie) that went. All the girls were at friends houses. It was nice and quiet...very relaxing. We drove down to Moscow checked out that town alittle then went on towards Lewiston but we had to turn around and head back home, thanks to me and my head. On the way home I took some pictures of the farm lands. It is so beautiful! We ran into lots of fog then this bright blue sky. Also all the power pole, brushes and trees were covered in ice. It was so cool to see, everything wrapped up in a layer of ice. I want to plan a trip down to Lewiston this Spring/Summer when it warms up. We are so blessed to have such beautiful land all around us here.

Here's my Story

I was looking through my pictures on my cell phone and seen these pictures of our little orphan named Yoda. You can probably see where he gets his name from.......And here is his story..... My sister came home from work one day and while she was sitting out on the front steps her cat which so happens to be a typical moody Siamese. Dusty ran over to Lala's car and kept meowing and this little guy here climbed out of her engine. After taking a 15min. car ride doing 70mph he felt it was save enough to climb out. After chasing him around in the street and some talking to, to my hubby about keeping him. Here is what he looks like today at 7 months old. How can something not so cute turn into such a beautiful cat.

Another hat with my model

Here is my newest Crochet project, this one is actually for me this time but of course Sierra is modeling it for me once again. I am going to do a scarf to match this one.

A New Routine

I'm not sure if it is because the kids had been off from school for almost three weeks. But when the three in school went back last week it seemed like they weren't focused as much as normal with school. They got to go to Laser Quest, Triple Play but come to find out that none of them had done their school assighments. Just like every weekend come Sunday they have do get their school stuff ready, make sure all the homework and books are done. Well this last weekend our oldest didn't bring one piece of paper not only that but he didn't bring home his book that he is suppose to read and test on. As you can probably tell this has been turning into a struggle lately. Yesterday I wrote up a whole new routine including the household chores and school assignments, the day they have all their tests on. We have or should I say I have been alittle more relaxed when it comes to school before friends and fun. So now it is all up on the fridge, and each one of them are to mark off after each thing is done. Then they can watch tv, play games and call friends. I am hoping this will help me and them in keeping up with their studies. I'll give this a try and let you know how their grades are in about 6 weeks. Wish me luck!!

My head today.......

After day number four of having a absolute terrible Migraine Dave decided that me and the family have been through enough so he drove me to the ER. I have had a pretty good stretch though, it's been about three months since my last visit. And this time I was only there for about three hours not the six or so like last time. They new exactly what they needed to do for me to relieve me from my pain. My friend the IV and my cocktail of good stuff. And just so you know that does not include even one Narcotic drug. At times hospitals tend to think all you want is Narcotics....errr.... not the case here!!! So I relaxed this afternoon when we got home and was even feeling up to making a big dinner tonight. Whoo Hoo...LOL After dinner this is how we found one of our five Cats on the back of the couch and all I could think of is....."That's probably how I looked in my hospital room feeling like Medicine head". I am so happy right now that I feel so much better....gotta go Season Premier of 24 is about to starting.

Latest Projects

This is what I've been up to the last day and a half, finish these hats. The red one will be sent back to Shelton for my mom to match her scarf that I made her for Christmas. The black on is for my sister to also match her scarf too. I have been making a number of scarves and hats that I'm going to donate the local food bank and soup kitchen. Trinity is also making them too, to also give away.

Minor Collapse but still......a Collapse

As most of you know we have had a particularly hard winter and since Dec. 17th we have had about 110 inches of snow fall. You might have seen this area on the news lately, there has been 35 buildings in Spokane and about 6 buildings here in Northern Idaho. I know ours was minimal but I just think about if someone was standing under it at that time we are SO THANKFUL!!! We have had our roof shoveled and Dave had shoveled off the roof to our back patio. Well apparently it wasn't good enough. As we watched TV and I made dinner this evening we heard a loud.........***BOOM*** and this is what we found right outside our back door. Our BBQ is a loss but I am just so very thankful that no one was under it when it went, not even our dog.

Here you'll notice just how thick the ice was.

And here's another piece of the ice.

This would be our grill under the ice and snow.

Saving in Sales

Since I haven't worked in about 6 months I have been wondering how we could make our dollars stretch. I have been checking into Meal Planning which would be great instead of running to the store once a day spending more money. So after doing a lot of coupon clipping and sale searching I saved $135.00 today when I went grocery shopping. YEAH!!!! Which is awesome, just to give you an idea we spend about $800.00 a month so that's about $540.00 in savings a month. So that pretty much sums up my day today.

God's Country

While the kids were doing their morning chores Dave and I went for a little drive around town. Here are some of the pictures that I took at Fort Sherman, where Lake Coeur d'Alene runs into the Spokane River. It was just so beautiful that I had to share it with all of you. Again like I've said before, "We are so best to live in such wonderful beautiful place". Yes even with all the snow!!
