Where is Spring????

So this week that we've had not so spring weather. Where are you Spring?? Well the kids made the best of it while they were all here together. The two older boys have been staying inside because of nasty colds, but everyone else made it out. So hopefully these will be the last snow angels until next winter.
Sierra posing as usual...loving the camera.
Hailey showing her hula skills.
Savannah hopefully making the last snow angel until next winter.
All the girls making a snowman family.

Horses at play......

Dave and I went for a drive the other day to Hayden Lake. Which is about 10 miles north of us. It was such a beautiful drive with the blue sky and the fresh snow that fell that day. When we came upon these horses playing in the snow, it was so cute!! I guess us humans aren't the only ones that like to play in the snow..........

and this is just a Barn that I liked.

Minor Collapse but still......a Collapse

As most of you know we have had a particularly hard winter and since Dec. 17th we have had about 110 inches of snow fall. You might have seen this area on the news lately, there has been 35 buildings in Spokane and about 6 buildings here in Northern Idaho. I know ours was minimal but I just think about if someone was standing under it at that time we are SO THANKFUL!!! We have had our roof shoveled and Dave had shoveled off the roof to our back patio. Well apparently it wasn't good enough. As we watched TV and I made dinner this evening we heard a loud.........***BOOM*** and this is what we found right outside our back door. Our BBQ is a loss but I am just so very thankful that no one was under it when it went, not even our dog.

Here you'll notice just how thick the ice was.

And here's another piece of the ice.

This would be our grill under the ice and snow.

A picture through our kitchen window

After we had our roof shoveled this morning I took this picture of Savannah along with Vader our newest addition. They are up on the snow out front my kitchen window. You know that's alot of snow when it is up to our windows and they're looking right at you. I am thankful that the kids can make their own hills to sled on instead of taking them all to Cherry Hill where it's a bit to busy and I get too nervous worrying someone will run them over.
