Summer Fun & Blessings Part 1

All I can say is WOW, it’s been way to long since I have had an update. I am just going to go back and fill you all in from June and give a quick update from the happenings around here and with the family.
First and for most we are so very glad to announce our Savannah has not gotten sick since the beginning of May which is a big deal. She was however diagnosed with Hepatitis A and the doctors believe she contracted back in January when she first got sick, and they believe it has just taken her this long to fight it all. Which is normally takes 6 weeks not 6 months. She is on medicine daily to help her also. But as of now (the end of July) things are looking good for her and there hasn’t been anymore ER trips. Thank you Jesus for answering our prayers.

My parents came for another visit from Washington and when they left they took Tristian with them so he could have a mini vacation from his siblings and oh yeah parents!! LOL It was a good visit but too short as usual. Then Me and Dad and Savannah went to Silverwood Theme Park here in Northern Idaho, went with her class as a special day planned for them. It was great fun and here are a few pictures of that day.
Savannah right before to big wooden Roller Coaster Ride......

Savannah right after her first big Roller Coaster Ride, I don't think I'm gunna get her in one again anytime soon.
Then there was my birthday oh yeah!! …..not really, I turned 33 on the 10th not a lot planned, dinner with the hubby and that’s about it. Then Father’s Day which dad got all the fancy art work that comes along with having 4 kids at home and a new tackle box so what did he do???? Yep go fishin.
Then our baby boy turned 4 years old. I can’t believe that 4 years ago June 30th that our youngest was born. It seems like yesterday yet it feels like forever ago…..if that makes any sense….. We are so blessed to have him and he totally completes our big family. I love the day to day things this little/big man has to say. You can carry on a conversation with him like he was a grown man. It’s so funny!! I love you my little man!!! Well Zachie’s birthday came and went and we finally celebrated it when we met up with Tristian again the following week when we met up my parents at their new property in Central Washington the first week of July. We got their on a Thursday sent up camp which included a total of three tents including Tristian’s tent, my parents 5th wheel and a couple other little tents for storage. All I can say it was oh so very dry and hot, yet again it is in the middle of the dessert, what else was I expecting.

The very next day we all with Grandma and Papa in their truck drove to The Grand Coulee Dam which was about 50 miles north of us on a itty bitty country road. When we got there it was amazing to see. We drove and parked up towards the top and took some pictures, (we were all to sore and tired to make the walk up to the top of the dam). So we drove down the road further to the Museum and took a tour through that. We were all surprised to see what it actually took to build it and just the history behind it. It was pretty neat to see all the history.

Dave and I and the kids were going to go on tour through the dam itself but we didn’t have a booster seat for Sierra so we couldn’t go in their van. So we ended up leaving and driving back a different way then we went originally went. My parents left before we did because they had things to do in Ephrata before heading back to their property. We went to Steamboat Rock State Park which is on Banks Lake. It was so pretty there and of course I took some more pictures. All was fun until Tristian kicked his younger sister in the face and she broke out in tears and then we packed up and headed back to camp.

After we got back to the property we celebrated Zachie’s 4th Birthday with cake and opening of gifts. He was so surprised to see his new bike, it’s actually a boys bike not his sisters bike that she has out grown, but he never really cared about that anyways. We left that Saturday to come home and then the next day the 4th of July was a great day as well!!!!

HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY BIG BOY MOMMA & DADDA ARE SO VERY PROUD OF YOU!!!!

soon to follow with be the other half of all this fun and with my sissy of course......

Really......

This was last night and wayyyy past bedtime for Zachary....like 3 hours past bedtime.
mom: "Zachary you need to get into bed now, no more playing!"
Zachary: "But, Mom I thought you loved me....."
.........seriously......I thought. It made me feel so bad so I had to let him stay up with me for just a bit longer.....lol! He so played me!

Fishin' and Fetch.....

So we went fishing at our new favorite spot on the lake by our house. Which we have been to a number of times now and this last time we showed up with just Trinity and Zachary we had a four legged friend as well. Do know how hard it is to fish....help the kids with their lines and to play fetch with a doggie that was very impatient?? When we stopped playing fetch with a stick she went and dug up a...well you'll see........

Yes a rock and not a small one by any means. And let's just say we were all pretty wet from her shaking every time she got out of the water and walked down the dock. It was fun but not as relaxing as hubby was wanting.

Fishin'

Let's start here with Sierra posing with some of our flowers that have come up. Still waiting on the tulips....one of my favs. Since this last Friday Dave and I along with half the kids have went fishing off and on, including today. Yes I have already received my first sunburn....OUCH!!!! For those who don't know me and sun do not get along. I love it just my skin don't...if that makes any sense. Any ways here are some pictures from over the weekend, which includes two ponds that are by our house. And yes Aunt Lala, Savannah tore her own worm this year and hooked it all by herself after dad showed her how. Let me re-cap, last year at this time and through out the summer we did alot of fishing and one of dad's rules is that you can't fish unless you tear your own worm (once your 7 or so I'd say). Well Savannah wanted to fish and do it all by herself but she was sooo scared to touch a worm. She even asked dad if she could use a "gummy worm" to practice with. We all loved that question and she will never live it down. And to those out there that think dad's rule was to harsh......yes all the kids got to fish, he just wanted them to get their own line and pole ready when they were big enough to. So you can now see that Savannah has now concurred the big job of touching worms and this girl LOVES it!!!

Zachie hanging out on the bridge watching Goldfish in the pond.

Savannah fishing, she even dug her own hole for the pole to go in so she didn't have to hold it anymore....lol to funny!

First Savannah holding the yucky worm.

Second, she is trying to tear it in half. Note to everyone I still don't touch worms or get my own line ready.

Good job Savannah your such a big girl now!!!

Zachie sittin', realin' & casting realin that's pretty much all he does, besides play with worms.

and here is some actually casting...... not to bad for a 3 year old!!

also not to rub it in but who caught the first fish???......Yep Mr. Zachary Maybe with a little of dad's help but that's our little secret.
Hope you all enjoyed. Goodnight!!

Seeing the country through her eyes......

So not many of you know this but I will now share with all. My dear sister LaVetta has been out on the road traveling the U.S. with a good friend of her's. She has been gone for I think a couple of months but probably more like just over a month. It feels like forever!! We talk every couple of days and sometimes like today 5 or 6 times a day. It truly seems that she has finally found true happiness. It's been a long time coming and lord knows she deserves it more than anyone I know. So she is out traveling the country with a great guy and also gets to see the entire country. You could say I'm just a bit jealous.....just a little...LOL So here is a list that I got today from her and where she's been within the last month or two.

She has been sending me pictures through emails so I thought I would share some with you. There's not to many but she promises to send me more, more often. Here's a few......

This is a motorcade in MD. where a 31 yr old Police Officer died when responding to a call for backup when he wrecked his patrol car. There were more than 500 cars in the motorcade. He had a wife, 1 yr old child and his wife was also pregnant with triplets due in June. Please send prayers to his family......

I just found out today as well that Al should be getting a couple of weeks off in May so guess what that means??...... They are going to start heading this way and stay for a few days. YEAH!!!!! I know the kids will be so super excited to see their Lala. They miss her terribly. We all have gotten so use to having her around all the time and when she wasn't around our house she wasn't very far away. She is like their second mom and I love the thought of that!
