Part 2 of 6 week update........

and we camp.....not because we want to because we have to!!! But let's not forget the importance......and that is we are together as a family. So in the last post I mentioned about having to move sooner then we planned. Well when we have a week from when we had to move till the new house was ready we decided to camp.

We had 7 days until we could get into the new place but when we first started camping we didn't know that it was only going to be a week, we were figuring it would have been about 10-12 days. Thank goodness things seemed to fall into place.

For the first 4 days we camped at Albeni Cove (about a mile from new house) on the Pend Orielle River. It was beautiful but not at all set up for families. The kids were so bored and oh ya with thunderstorm after thunderstorm that came through we were all pretty much stuck in tents, the car and the suburban.

For the entire time except 1 day and I am not lying, it STORMED. I don't mean some rain here and there. I mean lightening and thunder and sideways rain, everyday. I am use to rain trust me you have to be when your from the Pacific Northwest! But seriously this was crazy!!

and another storm...... flood warnings and everything on the same river we were camping on.

I remember when I lived in Oklahoma when I was a little girl and when we saw clouds like these we got inside and took cover.

Meanwhile we stuck it out and tried to stay warm and have treats.

This is why we do what we do and we are blessed that at least we were all together! Yes that's a sun break but don't let it fool ya they were sitting on wet rocks.....lol

This was the second part of our experience. We camped at Riley Creek Campground. There will be picks of all of us playing in the river here to come. This was the perfect campground.....totally set up for families and huge. They had volleyball, basketball, two big playgrounds and a beach!! But yes we had to go into town and get even more tarps to keep us dry, so you can say we are "Blue Tarp Campers"!! :) I can smile now!
