Fall Festivities

This blog is all about the pictures of this lasts weeks fun. Tristian went to Morgans for her Halloween party, we carved pumpkins, went to carnivals and did some Trick or Treating and Dave, sis and myself thought it would be fun to go to the Haunted House at the fire station here in town. Ya well I am surprised they were able to keep it open after we went through it. I think we might have broke some of the walls and decor....It was fun but I think the best part was laughing at ourselves!! Me and my sis went through there as fast as we could but my loving husband was in front of us and was taking his stinkin' time....lol Just to make sure we saw everything......well that didn't matter cause our eyes were closed and I was hanging on to his coat and she was hanging on to mine. For Halloween itself we didn't know what to dress the kids up in and they were pretty undecided, so in the normal fashion for me, I waited until that last minute and Lala and I came up with Mardi Gras girls for the younger two and Zachie was a SWAT member. Tristian bought his own stuff and we did his makeup and hair, not really sure what he was but he had fun. Trinity didn't get to go this year so there is no pic of her in a costume. As for all these pics they are really out of order and blogger isn't working so well so I am not going to fight with it to get them all in the correct order. So enjoy the order there in!!!
Zachie after getting home and going through the candy. He thought this was funny as all get out!!! Actually we all did!
Sierra (purple) and Savannah (green) finishing up one of the games at the Carnival here in town.

Tristian on his way to the party.....crazy kid!!

Mr. Zachary with all his toys.

The girls showing off before we head out for the night. It was fun getting them ready straightening their hair, makeup, nails, clothes, and coloring their hair. I couldn't have done it without you Lala, Thank You!!

All 5 of the pumpkins that we helped the kids with. Starting at the far left is Trinity, Tristian, Savannah, Sierra and Zachary's.
Everyone making one big mess!! But it was fun! Daddy was helping Zachie, I was helping Sierra and Lala was helping Trinity and others who may have needed it.

Zachie hugging his pumpkin, which is a skull. Thanks for helping Daddy!

Sierra and her spider web pumpkin. By the way my hand was killin' me by the time I got done with it. And note to self, do not use a steak knife to carve this pattern next year.

Savannah with her smiling face pumpkin. She was going to have a haunted house on hers but the pattern moved and it didn't turn out. But when it's lit and dark you'd never know that it was a oops. She didn't even care.

Tristian with his first wolf then cougar then we think it looks more like a bear pumpkin....LOL

And here is Trinity's cat in a boot pumpkin.
All in the dark and lit up!!!

Savannah's Illness

This has been a real long year, well it will be actually a year in December that Savannah our 9 year old, 8 at the time has started getting sick. Violently ill, vomiting every ounce of fluid that would go in her mouth. Right lower stomach pain that has her curled up in a fetal position. She will just rock back and forth and cry from being in so much pain. These (episodes as the dr.s call them) happen about every 5-6 weeks and she is down for at least 4 days. It affects her school, sports, church basically it affects everything that she does when this happens. Visit after visit with all type of doctor's at the clinics, ER, and Speciality docs at Children's in Spokane all they can come up with is a new diagnosis of a "Abdominal Migraines". I was like...what??? He asked for my history of migraines and that goes way back. I have suffered from migraines from the time I was a little girl, my dad and my oldest sister also suffers from them as well. So after asking more questions and after so many tests ( I can't even remember all of them). That's what they say "Abdominal Migraines". If just sounds so weird to have a diagnosis like that. One doctor told me that it can happen because when she was still developing in my stomach that her nerves got crossed from her head to abdomen. I don't know what to think of all that. But what I do know is that all the different meds they have given her to stop her from vomiting so fiercely......none of them work. There is even meds that they give to kids with cancer to help them through chemo. That doesn't even touch her......every 5-10 mins she gets up out of our bed and hobbles over to the bathroom. She can't/won't eat for 3 days at least, she can't stand up straight because of all the pain she is in, she has the darkest black circles around both of her eyes and every sip of water or meds that go in come straight back up. Well this was been my last few days. I cry with her because I can't take her pain away and as a parent that's what we are suppose to do. The one thing we did differently was she didn't go to the ER this time. I was really trying to take care of her here at home. She has been poked with iv's more then any baby/child should have to. When she tells me that I don't need to hold her had anymore for her and that she is ok. She has had one to many!! So I call her specialist office first thing Monday morning and guess what?? He's not in the office, his nurse proceeds to tell me to call her primary doctor to make sure she doesn't have the "flu", you know how many times I have heard that from the medical field....."Oh the flu is going around that's probably all it is" and like I have said many times back to them...."if it was the flu then all 7 of us at home would have it and if she keeps getting sick from it then look at her immune system people!" So then I call her primary cares office and guess what there?? Her last freaking day was last Friday!! Do you think she could have sent out a note stating she was leaving or something. I have worked for over 7 years in the medical field and I know there is something the office could do. So now they want to send her to another doctor and basically start all over again. I am more then frustrated. I hurt for my child, I am the one person besides daddy to make her feel better and to get her help and when we try I feel I fail her. So this last weekend after the great trip to the pumpkin patch she came down with it all over again. I just laid with her in our bed for hours and prayed for her until I was so exhausted and fell asleep. In times of struggles, I believe that my Lord will not put more on me then he knows I can handle but shoot I just wish he didn't trust me so much!!!!And I do realize that with our situation things could be so much worse and that there is a lot worse off out there. I truly get that and we are all so lucky and feel blessed with what we have and what we have been given. I just pray that I could take her severe pain away. Please Lord hear my prayers~Amen.

Round 2 of the pumpkin patches....down!

Another Pumpkin Patch down this year. For those who know me I have never been a fan of this Holiday and I don't really like celebrating it at all. So this year we took the kids to two patches and have done more "Fall/Autumn Festivals" then "Halloween" things. This last Friday we went to a great locally family owned Craver Farms in Newman Lake WA. We went through a corn maze, picked popcorn, mini pumpkins, gourds and medium sized pumpkins as well. All for just 2.00 a person, not bad at all!!!

All the kids under one my favorite trees. Hard to get them all to smile and look good when they all want to leave and go do there thing there.....
Zachie was completely wiped out after all the running and walking we all did this day.
Sierra out in the gourds, mini pumpkin and pumpkin fields.

Savannah, Sierra & Zachary loving' on Frankenstein on the hayride to the Pumpkin Patch. Zachie really wanted to ride this particular tractor and he was so happy we got on it. It made his day!!!!

Zachie & Frankie again on the tractor/hayride.....he was talking to him about all his booboo's and band aids.....crazy kid I tell ya.

Loading up the tractor to return back to the farm after collecting all those gourds, mini pumpkins and medium size pumpkins.

Sierra trying to find her perfect gourd......
Zachie could not find that perfect gourd......none of them were good enough for him. Him and daddy walked ALL over the patch.

Savannah stopping through the fields finding all of her favorites. And she did very well. This was the day before she came down sick with another "abdominal migraine" which had her laid up for almost 4 full days. Ugh......we are still learning of what is to much for her and her triggers are. She sure did enjoy her day there though!!

Our youngest and oldest!!! Eating up all the sun. It was a perfect day to do these Fall Festivals.

All five heading in to the corn maze, our first I must say!!!

Sierra showing off her Popcorn that she picked and shucked.

Zachie with his special find in the popcorn field. We have dozens of them and we plan on popping them up around thanksgiving time.

Savannah & Sierra getting the corn as well.

and .....Trinity with hers. We are going to have a ton of popcorn at home, but there won't be any wasting it going on.

Tristian finding his perfect one......

One last pic of the farm, I just loved this tree so much so I got one more of it before we drove off. It was a beautiful sunny Autumn day and all the kids did so great and had so much fun there. We might have to make this place our family tradition! Thank you Carver Farms!!! So now we are homeward bound.....

And then once again how can I not post a blog and not have one of our silly cats pics in it. Here is Mr. Socks (Dad's kitty and the brother to my Ozzy). He is the most laid back cat and thank goodness he is.......Zachary packs him everywhere. Its very rare to find him laying down on his own with out a kid grabbing for him. So this is what pic I could shoot quickly enough. If you notice you can see one little hand reaching for his head.... I had to work quickly because he was just about to get snagged up.
and yes he has 6 toes on each front foot for that reason Tristian says he's his cat because of Tristian being born with extra digits.....lol

I think he was trying to copy Savannah laying out on the couch that day.

One of my favs.....

Fall has definitely arrived here in Northern Idaho this week. For some strange reason it had been very warm/hot but now the really cool crisp air in the morning is finally here! I love Autumn it has to be one of my favorite times of year. Our trees are finally starting to change colors with some yellow, and orange, the pine needles cover our drive way and pumpkins line our front steps. Crab apples are falling and the deer are eating them up.

There really wasn't much going on to even worry about. The norm.....schooling, youth group, and now awana's. Dave did have surgery on Friday for his carpel tunnel. Everything with that went really good it's just the meds knock him out so he's been in bed a sleep a lot which he deserves.....I guess...just joking. The really big thing that stinks with him having this surgery now is that tomorrow (Sunday) Elk season opens up here and he won't be able to hunt. He is still planning on taking our oldest son hunting and hoping at least someone could bring in a Elk this year. Dave is such a great father figure to Tristian. If I am not up to going with dad Tristian will be right there to help and go tracking out in our back 40. Speaking of tracks, we went out last night (yes after Dave just had surgery) and found big ol' and lots of Elk and Deer tracks. Coming from out in the woods straight up to our back yard to the boys slider door/porch. So hopefully the boys will get something this year!! This is what dad wants me to do if they can't by the end of the season......see there is a huge Elk Farm about 15 miles down the highway from us and he said he wanted me to cute a hole in the fence, put a rope around the head and neck and ride it home.... and tie him up in the back yard. I know that is so pathetic.

***New as of last night***
Dave has now officially earned his Stork Pin with the ambulance. This precious baby girl is in need of a lot of prayers!! Please keep her and her momma in your thoughts as you go about your week.
Blessings.....
