Where's the Maid.....

Well with the nasty cold going through our home I was bound to get it. So needless to say it found me. So between the sneezing, blowing my nose, eyes watering terribly and coughing. I was able to vacuum and do up all our laundry. Now before you say oh just vacuum...hahaha with having four levels to this house its alot to do, and as for the laundry well seven loads..and still going about one left. I really am considering or you could say wishing for a maid. If I can only talk my husband into it wish me luck with that.
Now as for the rest of my day it went pretty uneventful until the kids got home from school and my oldest asked if they all could have some hot coco. I said sure which she boils the water in the tea kettle. Well last time (just the other day) they made it for all five of them they used warm tap water for the younger two being that they are 2yr and 4yr. Well I thought wrong dd mistakenly made my 4yr old daughter a boiling hot coco which she spilt onto her tummy and legs as she sat at the kitchen table. She let out this scream and cry that I will never forget, I jumped up so fast and ran into the dining room to find her soaked in that hot coco. Her older brother was trying to get her up from the table but was having trouble. I grabbed her and ripped her clothes off of her and discovered the blisters on her upper leg and lower stomach. So my sister and I wrapped her up in cold towels. My poor baby girl was hurting so bad. I gave her some Motrin and covered her up good as she shook with chills. But by now she is doing pretty good, the neighbor came with meds and gauze for me to wrap her up and she is now walking around and a matter of fact is in bed sleeping now as is all the kids. There was so much emotions running high that now I am exhausted as well.
Now I sit and wait for my hubby to come home from work and then off to bed we go. Now you can probably see why I say there's never a dull moment in this house..... But I love it and wouldn't want it any other way except that none of my kids hurt.
Until next time........

Loving Autumn

You know summer is saying her final goodbye when the leaves turn from green to yellow and then others turn into orange, red or even purple. You breathe in the crisp air and notice the sweet aroma of summer has turned into the smell of autumn rain still trapped within the skin of clouds and lovers. One senses that this scent of dew will soon become the silent snowflake seeking refuge on your nose. Autumn has arrived and turns your head with her unmasking of a palette so bright as she begins to paint the landscape in hues unimaginable. As if waking from a languid dream you notice that life is in abundant change around you and preparing her creatures for the long cold days of winter.
Soon thoughts turn to pumpkins, homemade pies, raking leaves, crackling fires and steamy hot cider. Autumn is the perfect time for love. No other season comes dressed for the backdrop of a love play like Autumn. With Autumn comes the sense of urgency to get things done quickly before all becomes enveloped in the hush of winter white.
Walking through Autumn leaves with your love brings back a memory of a magic to time as a child when a pile of leaves was so much more than a nuisance. This is a wonderful opportunity to be that child again and play! Invite your sweetheart to hold you tight and just fall into those leaves together and you will find yourself falling in love, perhaps for the first time or the first time this Autumn.
Turn your head and everywhere couples are nestled into each other with soft whispers and their breaths captured in the icy air. Breathe in each others breath and become one. Slip your arms around each other and just take time to notice the days growing shorter and life being lived to the fullest. Harvest these fruits of Autumn and cherish the cycles of our seasons.
